Pediatricians: Schools Should Plan To Phase In Reopenings
(Undated) — America’s pediatricians say schools should plan to phase in reopenings before returning to full activity. The American Academy of Pediatrics issued new guidance Tuesday suggesting the possibility of reduced school hours when in-person classes resume. The group said until a vaccine or treatment medication for coronavirus is widely available, schools need to plan for future shutdowns. Schools also need to prepare for distance learning. At least 46 states and Washington, DC have closed schools through the end of the current school year.
