According to the Shelby County Health Department, a twelfth resident has tested positive for COVID-19. The patient is an 80-year-old woman and a resident of Shelbyville Manor. She was tested on May 6th when her symptoms began and was placed in isolation. As a precaution, the health department has ordered that all staff and residents of the facility be tested. Currently, of the eleven other positive cases in Shelby County, one is deceased, nine have been removed from isolation and one remains isolated.
