According to his letter today, the following was said…
“In accordance with the state statutes and city ordinance, I am hereby ordering that the restrictions on outdoor dining and other regulations of the City’s Unified Development Ordinance concerning such matters as minimum parking spaces, use of public right of way and use of public spaces by restaurants and bars for outdoor dining services are hereby suspended during the period of the declared disaster until such time as restaurants and bars are allowed to open for indoor table and bar service.”

The plan will be reviewed by city staff and the Mayor for approval prior to outdoor table service being offered. The business must also coordinate its efforts with the Coles County Health Department.”
