(Charleston), IL – Coles County Health Department, (CCHD) was notified today of Three additional laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases. Our total confirmed COVID-19 laboratory case count for Coles County is One-Hundred and Twenty-Three, with Nine currently hospitalized, Fifty-One recovered, Thirteen deceased, and Fifty recovering. Coles County Health Department (CCHD) continues vigilant contact tracing following Illinois Department of Public Health protocol and guidance.
To date, the total cases associated with Charleston Rehab and Healthcare is Seventy-Four confirmed cases. The total Seventy-Four confirmed cases includes residents and employees. Not all of the Charleston Rehab and Healthcare employees live in Coles County. CCHD does not regularly identify the names of long-term care facilities with outbreaks of communicable diseases. However, in partnership with Charleston Rehab and Healthcare, the CCHD is identifying this facility to assist with communications to the community and family members of residents. Coles County Health Department continues to be in direct communication with IDPH, Charleston Rehab and Healthcare, as well as, long-term care facilities.
