High water remains an issue and is impacting some sites around Lake Shelbyville. Boat launch facilities are open in major recreation areas, with the exception of Whitley Creek. Secondary boat ramps are closed at Bruce, Coal Shaft Bridge, Johnson’s Bluff and Woodard Road. The Chief Illini Trail, Coon Creek Nature Trail, and Okaw Bluff Trail are closed, and all Corps of Engineers managed beaches are closed until further notice. Officials continue to urge boaters to use extra caution and be aware of lower bridge clearances, floating debris and submerged hazards.
