(Charleston), IL – Coles County Health Department, (CCHD) is reporting Six additional laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases. Our total confirmed COVID-19 laboratory case count for Coles County is One-Hundred and Seventy-Two with Three currently hospitalized, One-Hundred and Thirty-Two recovered, Seventeen deceased, and Twenty recovering. Coles County Health Department (CCHD) continues vigilant contact tracing following Illinois Department of Public Health protocol and guidance.
Coles County Health Department continues to be in direct communication with all Coles County Long-term care facilities and following IDPH guidelines.
We know COVID19 spread in the community is partially due to asymptomatic individuals, ignoring social distancing, and not wearing face coverings. Remember if you must go out wear a face covering to protect others and their face covering will help protect you. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with friction.
