(Charleston), IL – Coles County Health Department, (CCHD) is reporting One additional laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case. Our total confirmed COVID-19 laboratory case count for Coles County is One-Hundred and Eighty-One with Five currently hospitalized, One-Hundred and Forty-Two recovered, Seventeen deceased, and Seventeen recovering. Coles County Health Department (CCHD) continues vigilant contact tracing following Illinois Department of Public Health protocol and guidance.
Coles County Health Department continues to be in direct communication with all Coles County Long-term care facilities and following IDPH guidelines.
We know COVID19 spread in the community is partially due to asymptomatic individuals, ignoring social distancing, and not wearing face coverings. Remember if you must go out wear a face covering to protect others and their face covering will help protect you. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with friction.
