Merle Haggard Biopic in the Works

The life of a country music legend may be coming to the screen.  Actor Sam Rockwell is reportedly in talks to star as Merle Haggard in a biopic about the Country Music Hall of Famer’s life.  The movie will be based on Merle’s memoir “Sing Me Back Home,” and his widow, Theresa will be involved in the writing of the script and producing the film.  Amazon Studios has secured the rights to the film and book.
