According to the Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Levi Powers, of Martinsville was southbound on Mill Street in Martinsville last night, Monday, October 12, 2020, when he left the roadway and struck two trees before coming to a rest. Powers, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. A passenger, 33-year-old Justin Clark, also of Martinsville, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
