Illinois State Police are requesting assistance in a fatal accident west of Mahomet Sunday evening.
Two bicyclists were hit by a semi, and the man that died was Dr. William Schuh, the Chief Medical Information Officer and Chief Medical Director of the Research Institute at The Carle Foundation. ISP says Dr. Schuh and two others were riding on the north side of Route 150 about a half-mile east of Spring Lake Road when a westbound semi struck two of them. The semi did not stop. Troopers say the rig is possibly white and silver with damage to the passenger side of the truck.
