Salvation Army National Commander Red Kettle Challenge Friday, December 4, 2020
Today, Friday, December 4th from 2pm to 6pm is the Salvation Army National Commander Red Kettle Challenge. Lt. Nate with the Salvation Army of Coles and Cumberland counties will be ringing the bell at Walmart in Mattoon, on the grocery side.
Let the kids bring change from their piggy bank, or drop some cash in the kettle. Pass the hat at your workplace and maybe your employer will match the donation? You can also write a check, payable to the Salvation Army and drop it in the kettle. If you are on a tight schedule, just roll your window down and say “Hey Lt Nate” and he can take your donation.
Please know that the Salvation Army is taking every precaution they can while bell ringing. Bell Ringers are wearing masks, hand sanitizer is available and kettles are disinfected after each use.
The Salvation Army National Commander has challenged Lt. Nate to raise $700 in those four hours. Every penny will help Lt Nate reach his goal.
