Taylorville Man Dies After Hitting Tree In Christian County

(Christian County, IL) — A Taylorville man is dead after crashing into a tree on Illinois Route 48 in Christian County. Illinois State Police say 23-year-old Tanner Mitchell lost control of his vehicle while driving south on Illinois Route 48 and went off the road, striking a tree on Friday. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene.
