Illinois Enters New Vaccine Phase Today
(Chicago, IL) — The pool of people eligible for the coronavirus vaccine in Illinois is getting larger. Starting today, people who are 65 and older can now apply to get a shot. The Illinois Department of Public Health says several other essential worker groups are also now eligible. But just because someone is eligible doesn’t mean they will get a shot. The IDPH says the demand for the vaccine will be much greater than the supply for the foreseeable future.
