Elevate CCIC, Inc.- One of the best kept secrets in Mattoon is Elevate CCIC Inc. in the Cross County Mall. It was created through Mattoon in Motion who won a Google.org grant for $325,000 in their Google.org Impact Challenge Illinois contest in 2018. Based on the plans for community support and growth they have also received grants from the USDA, The Grand Victoria Foundation and LISC Rural. Many community members and local businesses have also invested in the Center. The entrepreneurial/co-working/ innovation space is open to the public for tours Monday through Friday 9 am – 5 pm. During the tour you will learn about all of the fantastic opportunities and programs available through the Center. They have already successfully graduated entrepreneurs and students who have created businesses through their support. Coming soon they are partnering with 4-H, the University of Illinois Extension Office and local schools to develop a FarmBot program for training in the latest technology to maximize farming opportunities..
