Indiana Secretary Of State Resigning
(Indianapolis, IN) — Indiana’s secretary of state says 2020 got the best of her. Connie Lawson yesterday said she plans to step down as secretary of state. She said in a statement that 2020 took a toll on her, so she is leaving to spend more time with her family. Lawson has been Indiana Secretary of State since 2012 and won reelection back in 2018. Governor Holcomb will appoint a new secretary of state, who will have to run for the office next year.
