One person suffered serious injuries in a six vehicle crash on I-70 in Cumberland County, Tuesday, March 9, 2021. According to the Illinois State Police, five tractor-trailers and one pickup were involved in the accident. The driver of the rig that caused the chain-reaction crash, 23-year-old Guramritpal Singh, of Etobicoke, Ontario, was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries. 42-year-old Charantjit Sandhu, another driver from Ontario was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All others refused medical attention.
