Cumberland County Crash Injures One
(Jewett, IL) — One person is injured after a Cumberland County crash between a semi and an SUV. Illinois State Police say the semi driver was off-loading equipment while parked on East Jewett/Toledo Road when an SUV rear-ended the vehicle. The SUV overturned, and 81-year-old driver Larry Swim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Swim was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, no valid driver’s license, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
