An Effingham man faces multiple charges in a DUI crash over the weekend. Additionally, police later discovered that Jared Herr had also left his 3-year-old child home alone. Herr, who collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Henrietta and Fayette Saturday morning, was first arrested for DIU, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a traffic control device. Police then learned that his toddler was home alone. The child was found safe. Herr was issued additional citations for reckless conduct and endangering the life/health of a child.
