UPS Asia Pacific Region President Ross McCullough has retired after 36 years with the company. The Windsor native began his career at UPS in 1984 as a part-time package handler in Mattoon. In 1991, he became one of the first members of the newly-formed Corporate Marketing organization. In 1996, Ross was asked to start and lead the first UPS e-commerce strategy team. Over the next four years, his team helped bring UPS into an industry leadership position in e-commerce with notable solutions like the UPS API portfolio, now known at the UPS Developers Kit, as well as integration of UPS technology into ERP software solutions. E-commerce became a key pillar of UPS’s 1999 IPO and that same year BusinessWeek recognized Ross in its e.Biz WebSmart 50. Ross and his family then relocated to Belgium where he managed the International Retail network and in 2004 was promoted to vice president of Supply Chain Solutions Marketing. In 2008 he was tapped to work on the design and implementation of the marketing transformation and the U.S. transformation. Once completed, he was promoted to vice president of U.S. marketing and oversaw the implementation of three new marketing disciplines – micro market management, segment marketing and customer profitability management. In 2013 Ross became the president of Corporate Strategy. Ross and his wife, Cindy will remain committed to helping special needs children through Camp New Hope, Eden Home Mongolia, Jacob’s Ladder Neurodevelopment Center, and Lighthouse Family Retreat. Ross will also continue to serve on the Eastern Illinois University School of Technology Board after retirement.
