A Bridgeport man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lawrence County Friday. According to the Illinois State Police, 55-year-old Philip Cretors was stopped in the right lane of Route 50 with flashers activated when a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Holly Fessler, of Petersburg, Indiana rear-ended Cretors’ pickup. Cretors succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, and Fessler was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. She was ticketed for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
