Central Illinois Republican Leaders Urge Pritzker To Veto Legislative Maps
(Normal, IL) — Central Illinois Republican leaders are urging Governor J.B. Pritzker to veto proposed legislative maps. Congressman Rodney Davis, state Senator Jason Barickman, and state Representative Dan Brady spoke outside of Davis and Brady’s Uptown Normal office yesterday asking Pritzker to reject redistricting maps put forward by state Democrats. Barickman says the proposed maps are gerrymandered. Davis expressed his support for an independent commission being in charge of redistricting.
