State Senate Approves Marijuana Decriminalization Bill

According to 24/7 News Source, an effort continues to decriminalize marijuana around the state.  The Illinois Senate approved a measure that would impose fines on people caught with small amounts of the drug instead of jail time.  A similar bill was vetoed by Governor Rauner last year.  The legislation will now head to the House for a vote.
