Camping season is finally upon us. To celebrate, Lake Shelbyville, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will provide free camping during Pack the Park at Lithia Springs Campground on May 5-7, 2016. Campsites will be available on a first come, first served basis Thursday through Saturday night. Paid camping will resume on Sunday, May 8.
Campers can expect a full schedule of activities that the whole family can enjoy. Activities will begin on Friday night with music from Wes Wheeler Band and a bonfire. Saturday will include free boat rides (for registered campers only) courtesy of Lithia Springs Marina, and inflatables for kids. Saturday night, campers can look forward to a complimentary hot dog roast, an activity, and a movie night.
