Edgar Co. Crash Results in Fatality

One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Edgar County.  According to the Illinois State Police, the driver of the Buick Rendezvous was stopped at the intersection of 600 East and Route 133 as the driver of a tractor-trailer approached the intersection, traveling westbound.  A school bus traveling eastbound north onto 600 East.  The driver of the Buick proceeded to turn east onto Route 133, directly into the path of the tractor trailer.  The driver of the Buick, a 23-year old woman from Brocton, was pronounced dead at the scene.  She was not wearing her seatbelt.  Her passengers – a 31-year old man and 2-year old child were taken to the hospital for treatment.  Names have not yet been released.
