Country music singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist Tom Hall has died at age 85, according to a report from his son, Dean Hall. Hall had gathered over twelve #1 songs and over 26 Top 10’s over the course of his career, and was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008 and given the BMI Icon Award in 2012 for his influence on generations of songwriters.
Hall passed away in his home today, no cause of death was given.
