Woman Arrested For Forging Vaccination Card After Misspelling Moderna
(Honolulu, HI) — A visitor from Illinois has been arrested after allegedly misspelling Moderna on her fake coronavirus vaccination card. The 24-year-old woman was arrested last Saturday, after managing to leave the Honolulu airport and freely explore Oahu for five days. Authorities say she left the airport before her hotel reservations were confirmed by screeners. The handwritten card indicated she was vaccinated by the National Guard in Delaware, but when officials in Hawaii checked with the state, there was no trace of the woman getting a shot there. There was also a glaring issue on the card. Moderna was spelled “Maderna,” with an A instead of an O. When she went back to the airport for her return flight on Saturday, police were there waiting for her, with handcuffs.
