The Charleston Fire Department will be testing fire hydrants during September and October. During the testing process, you may notice discolored water or decreased water pressure. If the water is discolored, just let it run for about five minutes. If it doesn’t clear up, call the water department for assistance. The water is safe to drink during the testing.
