House Passes Ethics Reform Bill
(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois House is advancing an ethics reform bill. The bill passed yesterday on its second go around after Republicans initially pulled support following the resignation of the legislative inspector general. The bill would require additional financial disclosures from politicians and would impose a six-month waiting period before lawmakers leaving the legislature could become lobbyists. The Senate has already approved the bill and it is headed to the governor’s desk.
