NY Senators Push 9/11 Responder And Survivor Health Funding Act
(New York, NY) — New York Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand are urging Congress to pass a 9-11-related measure. It’s called the 9-11 Responder And Survivor Health Funding Correction Act. They say it would address a funding shortfall in the World Trade Center Health Program so that people with 9-11-related medical conditions get the medical treatment they need and deserve. The measure would also set up a research arm to study the impact of toxic exposure and psychological trauma in the aftermath of the terrorist attack. It would specifically study the more than 35-thousand people who were children at the time and attended school or daycare programs near Ground Zero.
