Taylorville School Restrooms Vandalized As Part Of Challenge

(Taylorville, IL)  —  Taylorville Police are asking parents to talk to their children after school restrooms across the country are being vandalized as part of a social media challenge.  The TikTok challenge encourages students to steal and destroy school property, especially in restrooms, and post about it on the forum.  Police say students will be criminally charged for damages relating to the challenge in the same way they would with any other crime.  Taylorville Police say the challenge is “not a laughing matter” and can lead to serious, life-altering consequences.
