Betty Lynn Of ‘The Andy Griffith Show’ Fame Dies

(Mount Airy, NC) — The woman known as Barney Fife’s sweetheart is dead. The Andy Griffith Museum says Betty Lynn died Saturday of an undisclosed illness at the age of 95. She famously portrayed Thelma Lou on “The Andy Griffith Show.” There will be a private burial in the Los Angeles area.
