Mattoon Library Receives Money for Roof Repair

The Mattoon Public Library is receiving a $35-thousand dollar grant to help replace the leaking roof. The grant is called the Live & Learn Construction Grant grant from the office of Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White and the money will go towards replacing the asphalt shingle roof on the building that is in need of repair as broken shingles coming off during bad weather has led to rainwater leaking into the library.
