Thursday, October 28, 2021, Ed Dowd, Executive Director of the Mattoon Chamber of Commerce was a guest on 101.3 WMCI. Here is a brief description of what he covered during the interview:
- Trunk or Treat- Rain or shine the trunk or treat will still take place unless there is lightning. We suggest packing an umbrella to keep those costumes clean and the trunks all have plenty of space to set a pop-up tent if necessary.
- Mattoon Sports Complex- Mattoon in Motion will now have an 8th committee called The Mattoon Sports Complex Plus Committee. They have been assembled and tasked with making the project come to fruition. This project will be an amazing welcome to our community for all the thousands of cars that pass through Mattoon on Interstate 57 each day. Big shout out to Rural King for donating the nearly 100 acres of land needed to complete the project.
