The lane reduction on I-57 South @ MP 235.5 has caused significant backups on I-57 South as a result of vehicles slowing to take video of the scene. The backup is all the way to Interstate 74, which in turn will create backups on I-74 due to the ramp restrictions. Please seek an alternate route if you are traveling in this area.
Also please do not slow to a crawl to capture pictures or video, this only causes further backups and the potential for more crashes. Consider your fellow motorists please.
