New Fire Chief To Take Helm In Effingham

(Effingham, IL) — A new fire chief will soon be on duty in Effingham. In a meeting last week, city council members approved the hiring of Brant Yochum. He takes over for Bob Tutko who retired in July. Yochum comes to Effingham after serving as a battalion chief with the fire department in Vincennes, Indiana. Chief Yochum will officially be sworn into office on January 10th.
