District 300 Extends Winter Break A Day Due COVID Surge

(Algonquin, IL) — Northwest suburban School District 300 is extending winter break by one day due to elevated cases of COVID-19. District staff will use today to better understand the Omicron Variant’s full impact on staffing and student attendance. The district includes all or parts of 15 suburbs including Algonquin, Barrington Hills, Carpentersville and Hoffman Estates. Classes are expected to resume tomorrow, but a final decision has yet to be made.
