Teen Charged In Winnebago Co. Crash Involving Trooper’s Squad Car
(Winnebago Co., IL) — A teen is facing charges following a crash involving an Illinois state police trooper in Winnebago County. Authorities say the trooper responded to a crash yesterday on I-39 near mile post 117. While on the scene, a blue 2019 Hyundai lost control and spun into the rear of the Trooper’s squad car. The 18-year-old driver of the Hyundai complained of minor injuries. He was charged with a violation of Scott’s Law, Too Fast for Conditions and Improper Lane Usage.
