A pedestrian was struck and killed by a tractor trailer this morning in Champaign County. According to the Illinois State Police, the pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, ran into the roadway of I-74 eastbound at milepost 181 at approximately 5:00 a.m. and was struck by a White Freightliner driven by an Oreana man. Traffic was diverted off I-74 east onto I-57 north. I-74 east was reopened at 9:30 this morning.
