According to a MPD press release, Mattoon police arrested Zachary W. Easter, age 20 of Mattoon, and Kaden R. Dedman, age 18 and homeless, formerly of Sullivan, at the MPD on April 28th at 9:30 a.m. Easter was charged with Burglary to a Motor Vehicle and Dedman was charged with Burglary. The charges allege that the pair stole 10 cans of gasoline from various vehicles and properties around Mattoon between April 18th and April 28th. Both suspects were taken to the county jail.
