Off-Duty State Trooper, Woman Found Dead In Vehicle In Chicago

(Chicago, IL) — An off-duty Illinois State Police trooper is one of two people found dead in Chicago. Authorities say Trooper Antonio Alvarez and Amanda Alvarez were discovered yesterday inside a vehicle near 110th and South Avenue East on the Far South Side. Both had suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. Trooper Alvarez was a three-year veteran of the Illinois State Police. Chicago police is investigating the case.
