Six Inches Of Lake Effect Snow Hits Parts Of Chicago Area

(Romeoville, IL) — Over six inches of lake effect snow has fallen in several parts of Chicago. The National Weather Service reports six-point-four inches of precipitation at Midway Airport. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until noon in Cook County. Slippery and snow-covered roads caused delays in downtown Chicago and state police say there were several fender-benders on the Dan Ryan Expressway due to ice.
