Right Lane Blocked on I-57 Northbound Near Milepost 220

UPDATE (9:30 p.m.): In order to remove the Semi northbound on I-57 at Milepost 220 ISP is diverting traffic on I-57 North at Exit 212.

According to Illinois State Police, a truck tractor/semi crash has blocked all of the right lane and part of the left lane northbound lane of Interstate 57 at Milepost 220. Vehicles continue to drive into the area at high speeds despite several emergency responders and fair warning.   Please avoid this area, and seek an alternate route.  SLOW DOWN AND MOVE OVER FOR STATIONARY EMERGENCY VEHICLES.
