Home Prices Jump 19.8% In February
(Washington, DC) — Home prices are still soaring, but rising mortgage rates may slow things down. The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller index for February shows a 19-point-eight percent annual gain in home prices. That’s the third highest reading in the index’s history. Sun Belt cities including Phoenix, Tampa and Miami showed the biggest gains, with Phoenix up nearly 33-percent. Industry experts say we may soon see the impact of rising mortgage rates on home prices.
