Traffic Accident Results in Fatality South of Paris

A fatality occured yesterday (5/4) when a pickup truck collided head-on with a semitrailer on Illinois Route 1 south of Paris. The collision occurred at 8:51 a.m. when the driver of a northbound pickup swerved for an unknown reason into the soundbound lane. State police reported that the driver of the pickup truck died at the scene.
