Leaf collection begins Monday, October 31, 2022 in Mattoon. Leaves must be in 30-gallon paper yard waste bags, and placed within 10 feet of the curb of a public street by 7:00am to ensure pick-up on your scheduled day. Leaves will be collected until December 2nd.
Collection schedule:
Monday: Northwest side of the city, from 19th Street the city limits and Western Avenue north
Tuesday: Northeast side, from 19th Street east and Charleston Avenue north
Wednesday: Southeast side, from the CN Railroad east and Charleston Avenue south
Thursday: Southwest side, from the railroad west and Commercial and Pine Avenues south
