The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for our entire Illinois listening area.
Today (May 9) and Tonight: Thunderstorms are expected during the period, especially this afternoon into tonight. Some of the storms may be severe this afternoon into this evening with large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes possible.
Tuesday and Wednesday: A frontal boundary will waver across the area for the next few days resulting in periods of showers and thunderstorms through Wednesday. Strong to Severe thunderstorms will be possible from time to time, particularly on Tuesday and again Wednesday afternoon and evening. In addition, locally heavy rainfall will be likely with storm total amounts ranging from 1.5 to 2 inches by the time the rain ends Wednesday night.
