Douglas-Hart Nature Center in Mattoon will celebrate Earth Day Saturday, April 22, 2023, with games and crafts for kids, the annual native plant sale, and information booths featuring Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Mattoon Lions Club. The plant sale will feature 20 species grown from seed in the nature center’s greenhouse, priced at just $3.00 each. The Earth Day event runs from 9am to noon.
