Springfield, IL – The Illinois Freedom Caucus is issuing the following statement regarding the pending debt ceiling vote in Washington D.C.

“The only way to Grow America is to shrink Washington D.C., and government in general. The House Congressional Freedom Caucus previously passed a plan that would cut two trillion dollars in federal spending. The Limit, Save, Grow plan erased government bloat such as the $80 billion dollar IRS Expansion, Student Loan Bailouts for Liberal Arts Degrees, and the COVID-19 spending spree.

Now, Speaker McCarthy and President Biden have dreamed up a deal which is an absolute failure. Passing this deal puts America Last, and so does every single member of Congress who supports it.”
