Rep. Mary Miller Votes NO on the $4 Trillion Debt Ceiling “Deal”
WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) released the following statement in response to her vote against the $4 trillion debt ceiling deal:
“Tonight, I voted NO on the $4 trillion debt ceiling “deal” because it does not contain anywhere near the CUTS and policy changes we need in order to save our country from the fiscal cliff,” Miller said. “This deal fails to repeal Biden’s ‘Green Bad Deal’ attack on American energy or reinstate the Trump Administration’s energy independence policies we passed in the Limit, Save, Grow Act. Additionally, this “deal” does not address the need to prevent the hiring of Biden’s army of IRS agents, burdening hardworking American taxpayers.
“I want to express my gratitude to the constituents in Illinois’ 15th Congressional District for their overwhelming support and encouragement as we work to Drain the Swamp and save our country. It is an honor to represent you in Congress.”
