ISP Announces Results of Roadside Safety Check
EFFINGHAM – Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 9 Commander, Captain Nathan Douglas announces the results of a Roadside Safety Check (RSC) held in Clark County from late night April 27 to early morning April 28. The RSC was conducted at US 45 and US 50 in Flora, by Troop 9 officers.

Alcohol and drug impairment are estimated to be a factor in more than 47% of all fatal motor vehicle crashes in Illinois. There is one alcohol-related traffic fatality every 39 minutes in the United States. RSCs are designed to keep our roads safe by taking dangerous DUI offenders off the road. This project was funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
